There are 4 main night markets in Chiangmai :
1. Saturday night market at Wua Lai Rd. also near to the Chiangmai gate.
2. Sunday working street from the gate Tha Pae to the old city centre.
3. Chiangmai night bazaar located the east side out of the old city.
4. the Chiangmai University night market.
In this article I’m going to show you what I saw and the street food I tried in Chiangmai Sunday working street. Are you ready for this?!
As you can see in this map, Chiangmai sunday walking street is from the gate tha pae alone with the Ratchadamnoen Rd. to Wat Phra Singh (temple). It’s very a large-scale night market that you can spend your whole night here, exploring something fun and innovative.
Let’s start from food:
Food court is not on the main road, it’s on the right or left side.
Grilled pork, fish, chicken wings…
Sugar cane juice, $30 baht for a small cup
Fried marble meat(pork), this is so good, tender meat with crispy pork skin.
some Thai fried cumin rice, pad Thai, curry marinated chicken drum…
Grilled bacon roll with golden mushroom $10 baht
“grilled” egg in banana leaf, you can choose the filling like shrimp, chicken or pork… $30 baht
coconut water $30 baht for 1
steamed crab cake topped with some fried onion $35 baht
fish ball bowl $35 baht (fish ball is made by chopped fish fillet and some corn stash)
fried rice noodle, choose two topping for $25 baht
pad Thai!!!
mini sushi (this is totally not Thai food but you can try some if you want to try japanese food lol)
fried quail eggs
fried sweet potato balls (slightly chewy, its great anyway)
sweet thai crepe (with meringue and foy thong)
fresh juice
drinks stall

Rotee (fried banana crepe)
A thin pastry fried with butter and whisked egg on the inner side.
cut it into pieces and glaze with some condensed milk and nutella.
I love it so much!!!
Fried bugs, full in protein.
Eat it if you dare to!!!

Thai massage on the road!!! The price is cheap also. For example, only $80 baht for half an hour foot massage.
